Cindy first joined us as a Graduate in 2006, working under Andrea McNamara, back in our old firm, back with our old team.

And like all of Andrea’s people, she was trained in the right way to do everything.  Accuracy, timeliness, communication and professionalism.  These were the non-negotiable cornerstones for every person that became part of our trusted advisor team.

A few years later, Cindy and her husband Matt were fortunate to welcome Noah to their family.  Cindy, her husband Matt, Andrea’s team and Cindy’s clients all anticipated that Cindy would soon be returning to work.

Unfortunately, a series of health and family events stood in the way of that quick return.  In fact, just a few years later, the arrival of their second son Elijah put that ‘return to work’ even further into the distance.

This is a challenge for so many professional women.  It can be hard to get back into the role for which they studied, trained and worked for so much of their lives.

But eventually that day comes.  And Andrea McNamara, Chris Alp and all of our Team, are delighted that Cindy accepted our offer to (re)join us as an Accountant here at Alp McNamara.

Cindy loves numbers!  That’s what led her into the world of Accounting.  Like a few other Alp McNamara team members, their careers in accounting snuck up on them.  We were just choosing subjects we enjoyed and one day… we became fully fledged accountants!  For Cindy, this is underpinned by her love for helping and working with real clients and real people.

Of course, Cindy also loves her family!  And their love of sport.  Cricket, Footy, Basketball, Running and Matt’s hockey.  Somehow, they find time for holidays and travel of all sorts.

Cindy joins our Trudi Bons in being a specialist cake maker!  Like Trudi, she is relied upon by many of her family and friends to create something unique for that special occasion.
